Djanai are a humanoid species native to the planet Djana.
They are known to have a peaceful society dedicated to the matters of family. Individual Djanai tend to mate for life. Djanai are very protective of their families, with parents considered to be the most devoted. Djanai society maintained its balance by setting up strict career quotas, and making sure young Djanai were educated for a specific job that best serves his or her talents. While other species who value freedom tend to criticize such a rigid social system, to the Djanai it was both logical and essential. Gran religion revolved around the worship of the goddess Doellin.
They have also been known to establish colonies of two worlds, Kinyen and Hok. However, when millions of Djanai were emigrating off their homeworld and causing the population to plummet, a severe restriction was placed on the populations of the colonies.
They are also known to have good trade relations with the Terran Federation. Many Djanai workers have left for Terran Federation Colonies with their families to escape the rigid system.
