The Lukanthans are a humanoid species native to the planet Lukanth.
Their religion is focused around a deity named Kortar, who they believe leads their dead souls to the afterlife known as Brek'tal after they died.
The Lukanthans were forced off their homeworld when their sun roasted it and caused them to build massive ships to find new homes. Some of their ships were found by the Terran Federation, who took in the refugees.
